about

Saucers in Creeland was recorded at a remote workcamp in the heart of the James Bay Cree’s flooded hunting grounds in the boreal taiga of northern Quebec. It features Cree stories, musicians, and a traditional Quebecois children’s song. It is forever chased by lightning and storm clouds, and is always trying to keep its head above the crashing waves. The cover photo is taken in the Eastmain village.
Saucers in Creeland is a companion album to the White Funz album "Summer of the Saucer," which was completed at the same time in Exeter, England (and includes different versions of a couple of these songs).
