As with most of my albums, this captures a moment of time where I was coming out of a bunch of transitions - moving back home from Utah to Toronto after four years, becoming a parent, starting a new job, and still navigating the covid experience. One friend has described it as both rich sounding and delicate - maybe an accurate description of my own state of mind at the time, given the unsettling nature of huge changes, but also underlying that I was in a pretty good place when making this. I hope some of that comes through.
